We sat down with DJ Solstice, one of Florida’s most electrifying progressive house and techno talents, ahead of his landmark 2026 residency return at Liquid Tampa.
1. Evolution of the Sound
Liquid: "Solstice, your sound has evolved substantially over the past two years. How would you describe your current artistic trajectory?"
DJ Solstice: "I’ve leaned into deeper melodic arrangements with heavier cinematic atmospheres. Playing the Liquid Tampa sound system allows me to push low-frequency soundscapes that would normally be lost in standard club venues. The acoustic clarity here gives me complete freedom to experiment."
2. Connecting with the Ybor Crowd
Liquid: "What makes performing in Ybor City so special compared to other international club stops?"
DJ Solstice: "The raw passion of the Tampa crowd is unmatched. People here know their electronic music inside out. When you build up tension over an eight-minute track and finally drop the bassline, the whole room erupts as one unified organism."
